Solid shampoo bars are a fantastic solution for reducing plastic waste and they are incredibly long-lasting. Our solid shampoo bars will last for at least 30 washes!

This shampoo bar is best for dry to normal hair types and is scented with lemon myrtle and tea tree essential oil. The purple in this shampoo bar is quite strong and will handle stubborn brassiness in blonde or coloured hair as well as an effective whitener in grey hair.

Our recipe includes hair-loving ingredients such as oat protein (conditioning), vitamin b5 (adds lustre, is moisturizing and improve hair structure), cocoa butter (produces a long-lasting shampoo bar, excellent for conditioning) and not to mention they produce lots of lather and bubbles.

What goes into our solid shampoo bars:

Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate – is a coconut-derived surfactant which means it is is a mild substance which reduces the surface tension of a liquid in which it is dissolved. Surfactants make water wetter and help loosen dirt to be washed away. It also helps to create lots of lather.

Cocamidopropyl Betaine – is derived from coconut and is a surfactant which means it is is a mild substance which reduces the surface tension of a liquid in which it is dissolved. Surfactants make water wetter and help loosen dirt to be washed away. This ingredients also produces lather.

Incroquat BTMS-50 – is derived from the natural plant oil Colza (Canola), and fatty alcohol (Cetearyl Alcohol). This ingredient is as an emulsifier which means it prevents liquids that ordinarily don’t mix from separating. It also acts as a conditioner and helps make nice soft hair.

SLSa – derived from vegetables and is a biodegradable ingredient that helps make lots of lather and bubbles allowing the shampoo to spread easily throughout your hair.  This product is a great alternative to Sodium Lauryl Sulfate as it is more natural, and much, much milder.

Sodium Lactate – is a humectant which means it helps maintain moisture in the hair and is conditioning. This ingredient is made up of sodium salt and lactic acid, which is produced by the fermentation of sugar.

Hydrolysed Oat Protein – this protein is easily absorbed into the hair shaft and helps your hair retain moisture. improves lustre, helps repair, helps protect, reduces breakage, softens and smooths the hair shaft. The word “hydrolyzed”  means that this ingredient has been split into smaller units through the process of hydrolysis.

DL Panthenol (vitamin B5) – this ingredient helps improve hair structure, moisturization and adds lustre to hair.

Liquid Germall Plus – this is a preservative for products that combine oil and water. It has been evaluated as safe for both rinse-off and leave-on products and has a safe toxicology profile.

Cocoa Butter – is particularly moisturizing and helps produce a long-lasting hard shampoo bar.
